Lighting affects all operations. It is used to provide an image, protection, task lighting and general purpose use. In most operations lighting represents a significant portion of the overall utility and maintenance bill.

S4i has targeted the following lighting applications. If you use Metal Halide or High Pressure Sodium lighting, we offer the following solutions for energy reduction and maintenance benefits:

Digital Ballast Technology

By replacing your current non-efficient and high maintenance core & coil magnetic ballast with NEW Digital Ballast technology, you will attain more light per fixture while using less energy.

Example: High Bay (26’ factory application)

Replaced 400w older Metal Halide magnetic ballast drawing over .460 watts / fixture with a 250w Digital ballast / Reflector based fixture and save at minimum 210w per fixture. Additionally, implemented sensor based dimming of 50% to further reduce operational savings.

Reflector / Reflexor® Technology

One critical component of any fixture is the lamp housing. Many facilities lighting quality is hindered by using non-efficient housings. Modern manufacturing techniques implementing prismatic design and testing labs provide “prismatic reflectors” that are up to 97% efficient. When compared to typical “metal spun aluminum” housings it is not uncommon for the user to improve light quality by 20% and potentially reduce the number of fixtures in use by 25%.

The following “Prismatic Reflectors” are available in retrofit and or complete fixture designs.
